    Predicted band size: 39 kDa
    Observed band size: 40 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
    Additional bands at: 105 kDa, 190 kDa, 58 kDa. We are unsure as to the identity of these extra bands.


    Exposure time: 4 minutes


    Lane 1, IOUD2 was used as a Negative Control for SOX1.
  • IHC-P image of SOX1 staining on P5 mouse brain sections using ab87775 (1:1000). The sections were deparaffinized and subjected to heat mediated antigen retrieval using Cytric acid pH6. The sections were then blocked using 1% BSA at 21°C for 10 min. The primay antibody was used at 21°C for 2 hours.

  • ICC/IF image of ab87775 stained human embryonic stem cell derived neural progenitor cells. The cells were fixed in 4% Paraformaldehyde for 15 minutes at RT, before incubation in 0.3% Triton x-100 to permeabilize the cells and blocking with 10% serum to minimize non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with Sox1 antibody (ab87775, 1/500 dilution) for one hour at 20°C in 0.3%Triton x100, 10%Goat serum, 2.5% BSA. The secondary antibody (green) was an Alexa Fluor® 488 goat anti-rabbit IgG used at a 1/500 dilution.
