    Isoform 1 may function as a nuclear receptor coactivator, enhancing transcription through other coactivators such as NCOA6 and CITED1. Isoform 2, functions as a transcriptional repressor, modulating transcriptional activities of coactivators including isoform 1, NCOA6 and CITED1 (PubMed:11443112). Regulates centriole biogenesis by suppressing the formation of aberrant centriolar protein complexes in the cytoplasm and thus preserving mitotic spindle integrity. Prevents the formation of the STIL-CENPJ complex (which can induce the formation of aberrant centriolar protein complexes) by interfering with the interaction of STIL with CENPJ (PubMed:25385835).

    From the product datasheet I know that the ab12325 can recognize 'a portion of human Coactivator Activator encoded within exon 2'. But, since the RBM14 gene can generate different isoforms (including or excluding exon 2 and other exons), I'm wondering if this ab is able to detect all the RBM14 isoforms. Is it possible to know the immunogenic peptide sequence, so that I can check wich isoforms I can isolate, and wich are not detected? Thank you for your collaboration.

The epitope recognized by ab12325 maps to a region between residues 150 and 200 of human Coactivator Activator (RNA Binding Motif Protein 14) using the numbering given in entry NP_006319.1 (GeneID 10432).
