Dear Abcam tech, I have got the ab97098 antibody. In the mannual, it said ab97098 should be stored at 4C. Is it ok for a long time store? Could I aliquot them and store at -20C? I am very grateful if got the answer soon. Best wishes,

Thank you for your enquiry. Most antibodies are stable and can last for anywhere from a few months to several years if stored properly, so we strongly recommend that you follow the storage instructions on the datasheet for the antibody you purchased. These conditions will vary among our antibodies, therefore, it is important to verify the storage conditions for each of our products when you receive them. We guarantee all of our products to work for at least six month from the date of purchase when stored correctly. In the case of ab97098 that is conjugated to biotin we have not tested the stability of the conjugation when freezing the antibody and therefore I would not recommend it. I have orderd Rabbit polyclonal Secondary Antibody to Goat IgG - H&L (Biotin) (ab97098) for Anti-Hepatitis C Virus genotype 1a NS5 antibody (ab20773).   In datasheet of ab97098, it suggests to use in ELISA :1/20000 - 1/400000.((Primary).). 1/20000 is ok for the dilution or I have to have a test of it? Which concentration is fine?   THank you so much.

Thank you for contacting us. The recommended dilution appeared on the datasheet usually works in the corresponding application. However, optimization of antibody concentration may be required in individual experiment. Sometimes, you may need antibody concentration higher/lower than the recommended concentration range. For the first trial, I would suggest you to try 1/20000 first to see how is the result of ELISA. I hope this information is helpful to you.
