Hi,



I'm looking for a biotin labelled F(ab')2 antimouse antibody for peroxidase immunohistochemistry (lung tissue --> first antibody = monoclonal antibody IgG1 that detects adducts of hypoxyprobe). ABCAM provides three different antibodies; ab98657, ab98756 and ab5886. How do these products differ from each other? And what does pre-adsorbed means?

Thank you for your enquiry and your interest in our products.
Although, all these three secondary antibodies (ab5886, ab98756, ab98657) recognize mouse IgG and were raised in goat, they are from different sources. The tested application/species/concentration may vary.
Pre-adsorbed antibodies (ab5886, ab98756) are prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using mouse IgG coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities, pepsin digestion and chromatographic separation. This means that they only recognize mouse IgG and any cross-reactivity with other species is minimal.
