    Inquiry: I am looking for a RhD protein to use for quantification of anti-D in human plasma with Luminex technology. Does this protein contain the relevant epitopes for this purpose? Would it be possible to test one item at a reduced price? Kind regards,

    Thank you for contacting us and your interest in our products.

    The RhD protein (His tag) (ab80087) is not the full length RhD protein but a truncation of the residues 108-165 of the human protein(SwissProt reference Q02161) with an N-terminal His tag. The sequence is as follows:

    ITLFSIRLATMSALSVLISVDAVLGKVNLAQLVVMVLVEV TALGNLRMVISNIFNTDY

    The likelihood of this protein being useful in your experiment or not would be dependent on if the antibodies you are hoping to detect bind this region of the protein or not. As we have not tried the protein in this application we would not be able to guarantee its performance.

    Unfortunatelyaswe carry over 70,000 products, it isn't feasible for us to keep small sample sizes of our products.
