      Inhibitor of protein-phosphatase 1. This protein may be important in hormonal control of glycogen metabolism. Hormones that elevate intracellular cAMP increase I-1 activity in many tissues. I-1 activation may impose cAMP control over proteins that are not directly phosphorylated by PKA. Following a rise in intracellular calcium, I-1 is inactivated by calcineurin (or PP2B). Does not inhibit type-2 phosphatases.

    Dear concerning,
    Could you please suggest a ABCAM product for phosphatase inhibition to
    use with phospho-spesific antibodies on WB? There are two inhibitor but
    I'm not sure they can be use for this purpose:
    Protein phosphotase inhibitor 1 protein (His tag) (ab78756)
    Protein phosphotase inhibitor 1 protein (His tag) (ab117672)

    I am happy to help you with your inquiry.

    Do you want to use these in your lysis buffer and keep the phosphorylation side of your target protein intact? If this is the case I am sorry to confirm that the two products you are asking for are not designed for a use like this. Unfortunatly we do currently not have any phosphatase inhibitors designed for this use.

    If this is not the case could you please give me some further information to help me understand what exactly you need.

    1. Could you briefly describe the whole experiment you would like do do?

    2. Which antibodies exactly do you want to use in your WB application?

    3. What samples are you going to use for your experiments?
