      Binding to cells via a high affinity receptor, laminin is thought to mediate the attachment, migration and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components.

    Aim : The purpose of this protein to use it for phage display tech to select the antibodies and to make fusion protein. Also I will use this for other function assay like western etc.,

    Please advise me out of all laminin protein products that you have which one will serve best for my project.

    I would like to know information about ab114155

    1) Is the ab114155 product suits to my requirements ? if yes
    2) Is this is full length laminin 2 protein ?
    3) Is this has sequence for Laminin 2 alpha G domain ? All the 5 G domains are in Sequence?

    The human Laminin 2 alpha protein fragment ab114155 is not the full-length protein. It is a fragment, from amino acids 3013 - 3122 of the sequence given at the UniProt database entry for human Laminin subunit alpha-2, http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P24043 .

    This sequence contains the Laminin G-like 5 domain, which is aa 2939 – 3110, according to the UniProt sequence annotations.

    The fragment should be capable of selecting antibodies that recognize sequences with the range of amino acids 3013 - 3122. However, it has not, to our knowledge, been tested in this application.
