      Exhibits glutathione-dependent thiol transferase and dehydroascorbate reductase activities. Has S-(phenacyl)glutathione reductase activity. Has also glutathione S-transferase activity. Participates in the biotransformation of inorganic arsenic and reduces monomethylarsonic acid (MMA) and dimethylarsonic acid.

      Ubiquitous. Highest expression in liver, pancreas, skeletal muscle, spleen, thymus, colon, blood leukocyte and heart. Lowest expression in brain, placenta and lung.

    We coated the protein (ab83020) 0.5 µg / 100 µl / well overnight at 4 °C. The recombinant human glutathione S transferase Omega 1 protein was used as antigen in an indirect ELISA to test for anti-glutathione S transferase antibodies in human serum, ab174253 has been used as control
    Sample type: human serum
    Blocking Step: PBS/Tween20 (3%), 40 min, 22 °C
    primary antibody: Polyclonal Rabbit Anti-Human IgE, dilution 1:3000, 2h at 37°C in PBS
    secondary antibody: goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule) - HRP, 1:10000
