Ephrin B3 also known as EFNB3 is a critical membrane-bound ligand for the Eph receptor tyrosine kinases. EFNB3 belongs to the ephrin family with a molecular mass of approximately 37 kDa. It predominantly expresses in the brain although researchers have detected it in other tissues as well. The protein plays a significant role in various cellular processes such as cell adhesion shape and migration.

EFNB3 influences axon guidance and neural development. As part of a receptor-ligand complex it interacts with Eph receptors to regulate synaptic plasticity which is essential for learning and memory.
