    Hepatitis C Virus is a positive, single stranded RNA virus in the Flaviviridae family. The genome is approximately 10,000 nucleotides and encodes a single polyprotein of about 3,000 amino acids. The polyprotein is processed by host cell and viral proteases into three major structural proteins and several non structural proteins necessary for viral replication. Several different genotypes of HCV with slightly different genomic sequences have since been identified that correlate with differences in response to treatment with interferon alpha. NS5 (non structural protein 5) may play a role in the viral RNA replication of the Hepatitis C Virus.

Dear Abcam Technical support,

Sorry to bother you again but you are a so great source of information.

I would like to develop a AlphaScreen/Lisa using Cyclophilin a that will be tagged with GST and in the other side I need a NS5A peptide ideally tagged with biotin.

I saw that you sell 3 NS5A protein. My questions are:

1. do you think my best option will be ab68096 that is described in your web as full length conjugated with biotin?

2. the product ab49032 is described as aa2061 to 2302 with an N-terminal tag. What is the tag?
