Since you obtained poor results using the antibody in an untested application, we would like to follow up on this to see if we can possibly improve the results you are seeing with this antibody.

Based on the information in your review, I feel that altering the following step in your protocol may help improve your results:

- If you are fixing with 70% ethanol only, an antigen retrieval step is not necessary. Only PFA or formalin fixation requires antigen retrieval.
- Also, if your sections are thin enough (15 um or less), a permeabilization step is not necessary either as the tissue cells are being cut (average cell diameter is 100 um).

I am sorry about the issues you have been having with ab18465 in IHC-FrFl. as we discussed, I am sending you a new vial of this antibody, from a different lot to test out.

As for ab69436, as we had not tested it in IHC-FrFl, we could not guarantee that it would work for you in this application, but if you can send me a copy of the protocol that you are using than I would be happy to see if there is anything I can suggest.
