補足情報

This supplementary information is collated from multiple sources and compiled automatically.

The protein ZBT10 also known as Zinc Finger and BTB Domain Containing 10 acts as a transcription factor. Its molecular mass is approximately 55 kDa. This protein is expressed mainly in liver cells and several immune-related tissues showing a diverse expression pattern. ZBT10 contains a BTB/POZ domain which interacts with nuclear chromatin to regulate gene transcription. This protein contains specific zinc finger motifs that play a role in binding to DNA sequences.
Biological function summary

Zinc Finger and BTB Domain Containing 10 is involved in regulating cell differentiation and proliferation. It plays a critical role in hematopoiesis processes and may take part in muscle tissue development. ZBT10 often forms a complex with other transcription factors aiding precise control of gene expression related to cell cycle progression. By modulating different transcriptional activities ZBT10 influences the expression of genes involved in developmental pathways.

Pathways

Zinc Finger and BTB Domain Containing 10 participates in the Notch signaling pathway which determines cell fate decisions. This protein interacts with CSL (CBF1/Su(H)/LAG-1) important in transducing activated Notch signals. ZBT10 indirectly affects the WNT signaling pathway by regulating transcription factors involved in cell proliferation and migration. In these pathways ZBT10 holds a position alongside key proteins like beta-catenin and jagged proteins.

Aberrations in ZBT10 expression correlate with certain cancers particularly involving the liver. Elevated or reduced levels of this protein may influence oncogenesis by altering cell proliferation rates. Additionally ZBT10 has been linked to immunological disorders by impacting immune cell differentiation; it connects with proteins such as STAT3 a critical player in immune response regulation. Understanding ZBT10's role provides insights into potential therapeutic targets for these diseases.
