Biological function summary
Zinc Finger and BTB Domain Containing 10 is involved in regulating cell differentiation and proliferation. It plays a critical role in hematopoiesis processes and may take part in muscle tissue development. ZBT10 often forms a complex with other transcription factors aiding precise control of gene expression related to cell cycle progression. By modulating different transcriptional activities ZBT10 influences the expression of genes involved in developmental pathways.
Pathways
Zinc Finger and BTB Domain Containing 10 participates in the Notch signaling pathway which determines cell fate decisions. This protein interacts with CSL (CBF1/Su(H)/LAG-1) important in transducing activated Notch signals. ZBT10 indirectly affects the WNT signaling pathway by regulating transcription factors involved in cell proliferation and migration. In these pathways ZBT10 holds a position alongside key proteins like beta-catenin and jagged proteins.
