Defects in TGFB3 are a cause of familial arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia type 1 (ARVD1) [MIM:107970]; also known as arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy 1 (ARVC1). ARVD is an autosomal dominant disease characterized by partial degeneration of the myocardium of the right ventricle, electrical instability, and sudden death. It is clinically defined by electrocardiographic and angiographic criteria; pathologic findings, replacement of ventricular myocardium with fatty and fibrous elements, preferentially involve the right ventricular free wall. -

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Anti-TGF beta 3 antibody (ab15537)This image is courtesy of an anonymous Abreviewab15537 at 1/200 staining human anal cancer tissue sections by IHC-P. The tissue was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed before incubation with the antibody for 30 minutes. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary. -
Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence - Anti-TGF beta 3 antibody (ab15537)ICC/IF image of ab15537 stained HepG2 cells. The cells were 4% formaldehyde fixed (10 min) and then incubated in 1%BSA / 10% normal goat serum / 0.3M glycine in 0.1% PBS-Tween for 1h to permeabilise the cells and block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody ab15537 5µg/ml overnight at +4°C. The secondary antibody (green) was Alexa Fluor® 488 goat anti- rabbit IgG (H+L) used at a 1/1000 dilution for 1h. Alexa Fluor® 594 WGA was used to label plasma membranes (red) at a 1/200 dilution for 1h. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue) at a concentration of 1.43µM.
