      Thanks for getting back to me, and yes these are the only antibody issues I have had. You are correct that this antibody is not a typical loading control, but it has been used as a control for GABAergic neurons. (I switched to using Beta actin as my loading control for the moment.) Currently, I am attempting to see if the antibody will work with additional blots, but it has not worked to date.

      I have received feedback from the source of our VGAT antibody reference ab42939 and was informed that there is 92 % homology of the immunogen with the mouse sequence therefore it may work in this species but currently we cannot guarantee it as it has not been tested.
