Interpolated concentration of native Serglycin was measured at different sample concentrations. Undiluted sample is as follows : Human Plasma-Citrate (50%). The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in 1% bovine serum albumin (BSA). Data represented here are indicative of assay working using example of biological sample. However, we do not guarantee same sensitivity level due to biological variation.

Interpolated concentrations of native Serglycin in human control wild type HeLa (Henrietta Lacks cells) and SRGN (Serglycin) knockout HeLa cell based on 1 mg/mL extract loads. The concentrations of Serglycin were measured in duplicate and interpolated from the Serglycin standard curve and corrected for sample dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Serglycin concentration was determined to be 959.4 pg/mL in wild type HeLa extract (Human wild-type HeLa cell line) and 43.0 pg/ml in SRGN (Serglycin) knockout HeLa extract (Human SRGN knockout HeLa cell line).

Plays a role in formation of mast cell secretory granules and mediates storage of various compounds in secretory vesicles. Required for storage of some proteases in both connective tissue and mucosal mast cells and for storage of granzyme B in T-lymphocytes. Plays a role in localizing neutrophil elastase in azurophil granules of neutrophils. Mediates processing of MMP2. Plays a role in cytotoxic cell granule-mediated apoptosis by forming a complex with granzyme B which is delivered to cells by perforin to induce apoptosis. Regulates the secretion of TNF-alpha and may also regulate protease secretion. Inhibits bone mineralization.
