RPL31 also known as Ribosomal Protein L31 is a component of the 60S subunit of the ribosome. This protein weighs approximately 14 kDa. It plays an important role in protein synthesis within the cell. RPL31 is widely expressed in many tissues including the liver kidney and lung. Its presence in these tissues indicates its importance in cellular function and metabolism.
Biological function summary

This ribosomal protein facilitates the assembly and stability of ribosomal structures enabling proper translation and protein synthesis.
