Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Anti-OTP antibody [EPR22178-17] - BSA and Azide free (AB256826)
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human lung squamous cell carcinoma tissue labeling OTP with ab254267 at 1/4000 dilution (0.113μg/ml) followed by a ready to use Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP). Negative control : No staining in human lung squamous cell carcinoma (PMID : 26927888) is observed. The expression of the target is developmental stage-specific and type-specific for lung cancer. Counterstained with hematoxylin.
Secondary antibody only control : Secondary antibody is a ready to use Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP).
Heat mediated antigen retrieval using ab93684 (Tris/EDTA buffer, pH 9.0).
This data was developed using the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation containing PBS, BSA, glycerol, and sodium azide (ab254267).

製品の詳細
ab256826 is the carrier-free version of ab254267.
Patented technology
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.
What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:
- - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
- - Improved sensitivity and specificity
- - Long-term security of supply
- - Animal-free batch production
For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.
Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

Biological function summary
OTP plays an important role in the regulation of gene expression during the development of specific neuronal cell types. It is not part of a larger complex but interacts with various other transcription factors to influence cell fate decisions. OTP's regulatory actions are essential during embryonic development where it directs the differentiation and specialization of neurons.
Pathways
OTP is significant in the development pathways of the nervous system. It participates in neurogenesis particularly influencing the hypothalamic lineage. OTP interacts with proteins such as Nkx2.1 and Sim1 which are also transcription factors that guide the specification of neuroendocrine neurons. These interactions highlight OTP’s involvement in complex genetic regulatory networks essential for proper nervous system function.
