MS4A14 also known by its alternate names is part of the membrane-spanning 4-domains subfamily A. It has a molecular mass of approximately 54 kDa. This protein usually expresses in specific tissues such as the brain and testes. MS4A14 has a structure characterized by four transmembrane domains which indicates its role in cellular communication and membrane signaling processes.
Biological function summary

This protein participates in modulating signal transduction across the cellular membrane. MS4A14 associates with lipid rafts which facilitates its role in signaling events. It does not operate alone but as part of larger protein complexes interacting with other proteins to carry out its function.
