機能
Serine/threonine kinase that may play a role in the response to environmental stress and cytokines such as TNF-alpha. Appears to act upstream of the JUN N-terminal pathway. -
組織特異性
Appears to be ubiquitous. Expressed in all tissue types examined. Isoform 5 appears to be more abundant in the brain. Isoform 4 is predominant in the liver, skeletal muscle and placenta. -
配列類似性
Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. STE Ser/Thr protein kinase family. STE20 subfamily.
Contains 1 CNH domain.
Contains 1 protein kinase domain. -

All lanes : Anti-MAP4K4/NIK antibody (ab80418) at 0.1 µg/ml
Lane 1 : Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells at 50 µg
Lane 2 : Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells at 15 µg
Lane 3 : Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells at 5 µg
Developed using the ECL technique.
Predicted band size: 142 kDa
Observed band size: 171 kDa why is the actual band size different from the predicted?
Exposure time: 3 minutes -
Detection of Human MAP4K4/NIK in Immunoprecipitates of whole cell lysate from HeLa cells (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) using ab80418 at 3 µg/mg lysate for IP (lane 1). For subsequent WB detection, 1 µg/ml of ab80418 was used. Detection was by chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds. Lane 2 represents control IgG IP.
