Question

I'm interesting in purchase your anti-LIMPII antibody (ab87637) but I need it to immunofluorescency studies. There's no information about the usage of the antibody in this technic. Could you give me any information about the quality of the antibody on IF? Thank's in advance.

Answer

Thank you for contacting us. The antibody ab87637 has not been tested in either cytochemistry or histochemistry. I assume you want to stain cell cultures or tissue sections, followed by IF detection. The antibody has not been validated on either sample type for staining, only for western blotting. Our guarantee does not apply to untested applications, but the antibody may still work in this untested application. I suggest testing at least two fixatives: paraformaldehyde followed by detergent permabilization, or acetone, or methanol. After blocking non-specific interactions with serum of BSA, test a range of dilutions to determine whh gives the most signal with the least background staining. A good range to test would be 1/100 - 1/1000. I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.
