For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.
Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Biological function summary
This nucleoprotein serves a multifunctional role in viral propagation and immune evasion. In addition to its RNA-binding properties NP suppresses the host's innate immune responses by interfering with interferon signaling pathways. It accomplishes this by degrading double-stranded RNA thereby preventing activation of the pathway. NP is not known to be part of a larger complex but operates closely with other viral components to enhance viral survival and replication within host cells.
Pathways
LASV NP is implicated importantly in the viral life cycle and immune evasion mechanisms. The interferon signaling pathway is significantly impacted by NP's ability to counteract interferon responses which normally aid in defense against viral infections. NP cooperates with the Lassa virus glycoprotein complex and matrix protein in these pathways coordinating processes that facilitate successful viral replication and assembly while concurrently subverting host immune defenses.
