特異性
The antibody recognizes the gamma 1 chain of human reduced and alkylated laminin produced by various cultured cells, which produce laminins complexed with it. The specificity of clone BC17 has been confirmed by immunoprecipitation and ELISA by using recombinant Laminin gamma 1. -

特記事項
Balb/c spleen cells used to produce hybridoma. The monoclonal antibody BC17 against Laminin gamma 1 can be widely applied in immunohistochemical studies as all basement membranes contain laminin trimers containing this chain. Antibodies to laminin chains are useful in basic biology studies as well as in pathological studies concerning e.g. the integrity of the basement membranes in carcinomas.
The Life Science industry has been in the grips of a reproducibility crisis for a number of years. Abcam is leading the way in addressing this with our range of recombinant monoclonal antibodies and knockout edited cell lines for gold-standard validation. ターゲット情報

機能
Binding to cells via a high affinity receptor, laminin is thought to mediate the attachment, migration and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components. -
組織特異性
Found in the basement membranes (major component). -
配列類似性
Contains 11 laminin EGF-like domains.
Contains 1 laminin IV type A domain.
Contains 1 laminin N-terminal domain. -
ドメイン
The alpha-helical domains I and II are thought to interact with other laminin chains to form a coiled coil structure.
Domains VI and IV are globular. -
細胞内局在
Secreted > extracellular space > extracellular matrix > basement membrane. - Information by UniProt
