    I am interested in running sandwich ELISA on human interferon alpha and beta. Do you have antibodies that are general to all alpha and beta sub-types? Do you have antibodies that bind different epitopes (for capture and detection)? Do you have antibodies conjugated for use in an avidin-biotin system, or could you suggest another detection method for sandwich ELISA using your antibodies?

    Thank you for your enquiry. All the information on the specificity of our interferon antibodies is specified on our datasheets. If a particular subtype is not mentioned this reactivity has not been determined. Whilst all of the antibodies detailing ELISA as an application have been tested using direct ELISA we cannot guarantee their application as part of an ELISA pair unless this is stated on the datasheet. Searching through our catalogue I have determined that the only ELISA pair that we can guarantee to work in combination are Interferon alpha 2b antibody [9D3] (ab9386) and mouse monoclonal [4E10] to Interferon alpha 2b (ab9388). It may be useful to search the literature where sandwich ELISA has been applied using monoclonal antibodies against this target to determine compatible clones and their epitopes as we do sell many monoclonal antibodies against these targets. I am sorry that I cannot be of more assistance on this occasion.
