We have not received any report of the this antibody being used for diagnosis of autoimmune diseases by IHC or other methods. It has been demonstrated to be capable of staining a sub-population of cells in tonsil sections, as shown on the datasheet, but detection of immune deposits of immunoglobulins may requirea more sensitive tecnique. This anti-mouse IgG antibody is pre-adsorbed against human IgG, so that it will not bind to the human IgG on the Western blot. It will only bind to the mouse primary antibody.

If there is not MSDS as in the case of ab2410, this indicates that the product does not contains hazardous substances or only contains so little that a MSDS is not necessary.

If you still require a MSDS for ab2410, I will be happy to ask the department to generate one for you (which would say, that it is not hazardous in these minute amounts).

Thank you for contacting us. I have heard back from the lab with the following information: This antibody was only tested on human tissues and not on any other species. Therefore, we do not know if it would crossreact with mouse or not. I am sorry to not have more helpful information for you in this regard. Please let me know if you would be looking into other proteins that might show low homology between human and mouse, and I can help you to find a suitable antibody. Thank you for contacting us and I'm sorry to hear that you're having some trouble staining with ab2410. We haven't tested this antibody using monkey tissue, only human tissue (tonsil), so we haven't optimized the protocol for monkey. However, I've included some info about the protocol tested for you to try optimizing. Pretreatment enzymatic retrieval: We recommend histozyme treatment (Diagnostic Biosystem cat. #: K 046) for ab2410 for 5 minutes at room temperature. The antibody should be diluted even further if you're seeing background. Try 1/3000 - 1/5000 and dilute your secondary more too. The lab suggests incubating the primary for 30 mins at room temperature. Plus, what are you using for blocking? We'd recommend 5-10% serum from the species your secondary is raised in and incubating that for 1 hr at RT. I hope this information is helpful to you.
