HOXB13 was immunoprecipitated from PC-3 (human prostate adenocarcinoma cell line) nuclear extract with 5 μg ab227879. Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using ab227879. Anti-Rabbit IgG was used as a secondary reagent.

Biological function summary
HOXB13 guides tissue patterning and morphological development. It functions within a group of proteins forming transcriptional regulatory complexes. This protein influences cellular differentiation especially in the prostate and plays a part in epidermal development. HOXB13's regulatory functions extend to several genes that define cell fate and organogenesis contributing significantly to tissue-specific function.
Pathways
HOXB13 interacts heavily within the Wnt signaling pathway which is key for cell proliferation and differentiation. It also interfaces with the androgen receptor signaling pathway.
