FBXL16 also known as F-box and leucine-rich repeat protein 16 is a member of the F-box protein family which contains an F-box motif responsible for protein-protein interactions. This protein weighs approximately 46 kDa and plays an important role in tagging proteins for ubiquitin-dependent proteolysis. Scientists find FBXL16 ubiquitously expressed with significant presence in tissues such as the brain heart and testis suggesting its versatile functional significance across different organ systems.
