Cytokine that binds to TNFRSF6/FAS, a receptor that transduces the apoptotic signal into cells. May be involved in cytotoxic T-cell mediated apoptosis and in T-cell development. TNFRSF6/FAS-mediated apoptosis may have a role in the induction of peripheral tolerance, in the antigen-stimulated suicide of mature T-cells, or both. Binding to the decoy receptor TNFRSF6B/DcR3 modulates its effects. -

This data was developed using ab302905, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.
Fas Ligand was immunoprecipitated from 0.35 mg No-GFP-CD16.NK-92 (natural killer (NK-92®) cell lacking GFP-CD16) whole cell lysate. Cells were treated with 80nM TPA (ab120297) and 3µM Ionomycin (ab120116) for 5 hours, and then 300ng/ml BFA was added for an additional 4 hours. ab302905 at 1/30 dilution (2µg in 0.35mg lysates). Western blot was performed on the immunoprecipitate using ab302905 at 1/1000 dilution. VeriBlot for IP secondary antibody (HRP) (ab131366) was used at 1/5000 dilution.
