    we are considering the usefulness of your ab6500 antibody in some of our experiments and clinical routine. However, for a better evaluation of the appropriateness of your reagent, it would be very helpful to know how the CMV-infected cell extract you are using as an antigen has been prepared, and how the protein amount is calculated. We also need to know what kind of cells have been used (I guess fibroblast) and the strain, but above all the method you used for preparing the extract itself. The reference would be perfect.     Thank you for your enquiry and patience. The originator of this antibody has been able to provide me with the following information. Virus Strain = AD169 Host Cell = Normal Human Dermal Fibroblast (NHDF)Cell line also known as HFS. Protein is determined using a BCA reagent and BSA as the protein standard. Procedure for making the extract is not available. If you have any additional questions, please contact us again.
