This data was developed using ab270990, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.

Flow cytometric analysis of Mouse blood cells cells labelling CD33 with ab270990 at 1/50 dilution (1ug)/ Right compared with a Rabbit monoclonal IgG (ab172730) / Left isotype control. Goat anti rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor® 488, ab150077) at 1/2000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Cells were stained with rabbit IgG or ab270990. Then stained with anti-Ly-6G/Ly-6C conjugated to BV421. Gated on viable cells.

Sialic-acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin (Siglec) that plays a role in mediating cell-cell interactions and in maintaining immune cells in a resting state (By similarity). Preferentially binds sialic acid to the short O-linked glycans of certain mucins (PubMed : 12773563).
