  • 機能

    Involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution. Binding of caspase-9 to Apaf-1 leads to activation of the protease which then cleaves and activates caspase-3. Proteolytically cleaves poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP).
    Isoform 2 lacks activity is an dominant-negative inhibitor of caspase-9.

    Ubiquitous, with highest expression in the heart, moderate expression in liver, skeletal muscle, and pancreas. Low levels in all other tissues. Within the heart, specifically expressed in myocytes.

    Unfortunately, we do not currently know of any published references where anti-Caspase 9 (phospho Y153) antibody (ab79202) has been used. However, the antibody has been used in house to stain HeLa cells as well as performing IHC staining of paraffin embedded human thymus tissue. The antibody has also been used in western blotting of COLO205 cell extracts. In all of these experiments, the immunising phosphopeptide sucessfully blocked any staining, indicating that the staining observed was specific.

    All products sold by Abcam are covered by the Abpromise. This means that is you were to use the antibody with any of the applications listed (with samples from a species listed, in this case human) on the datasheet and were not satisfied with the quality of the antibody, you would be entitled to a replacement or refund.
