Western blot - Anti-CALB1 antibody [L109/57] - Chicken IgY (Chimeric) (AB325663)

Western blotting of rat brain homogenate with an anti-CALB1 (calbindin) mouse mAb and ab325663 antibodies (10 µg/ml). The mouse Mab and ab325663 were detected with anti-mouse-HRP and anti-chicken-HRP, respectively. The antibody recognizes endogenous CALB1 with similar sensitivity as the anti-CALB1 mouse Mab in the rat brain homogenate at 30 kDa.

This recombinant antibody is a chimeric antibody created by replacing the mouse heavy and light constant regions of clone L109/57 with chicken IgY heavy and light constant regions. As such this antibody retains the same binding performance as the original clone L109/57 but can be detected using standard anti-chicken secondary antibodies allowing flexibility for multiplexing applications. This antibody is expressed recombinantly in mammalian cells and then affinity purified from the cell culture media.
