B4GALT3 also known as Beta-14-galactosyltransferase 3 is an enzyme that plays an important role in transferring galactose from UDP-galactose to N-acetylglucosamine on polypeptides forming N-linked oligosaccharides. The enzyme is about 43 kDa in mass. It is mainly expressed in the Golgi apparatus of cells influencing the biosynthesis of glycoconjugates. B4GALT3 activity is evident across various tissues showing a broad expression pattern.
Biological function summary

B4GALT3 contributes significantly to the biosynthesis and modification of glycoproteins and glycolipids. It is a part of the glycosyltransferase family which functions in forming glycosidic bonds.
