機能Inhibitory receptor acting as a major negative regulator of T-cell responses. The affinity of CTLA4 for its natural B7 family ligands, CD80 and CD86, is considerably stronger than the affinity of their cognate stimulatory coreceptor CD28.
組織特異性Widely expressed with highest levels in lymphoid tissues. Detected in activated T-cells where expression levels are 30- to 50-fold less than CD28, the stimulatory coreceptor, on the cell surface following activation.

A multifactorial disorder of glucose homeostasis that is characterized by susceptibility to ketoacidosis in the absence of insulin therapy. Clinical fetaures are polydipsia, polyphagia and polyuria which result from hyperglycemia-induced osmotic diuresis and secondary thirst. Flow cytometry overlay histogram showing left, C57 BL/6 mouse splenocytes treated with 2.5 μg/ml ConA for 3 days and right, negative C57 BL/6 mouse splenocytes stained with ab245904 (red line). The cells were incubated in 1x PBS containing 10% mouse serum and 10 % normal goat serum to block non-specific protein-protein interaction followed by the antibody (ab245904) (1x 106 in 100μl at 1μg/ml (1/500)) for 30 min on ice. Isotype control antibody (black line) was used at the same concentration and conditions as the primary antibody. Unlabelled sample (blue line) was also used as a control.
Acquisition of >30000 events were collected using a 40 mW Red laser (638nm) and 660/10 bandpass filter.
