      Required for RNA-mediated gene silencing (RNAi). Binds to short RNAs such as microRNAs (miRNAs) and represses the translation of mRNAs which are complementary to them. Lacks endonuclease activity and does not appear to cleave target mRNAs. Also required for RNA-directed transcription and replication of the human hapatitis delta virus (HDV).

      Question

      Hi，colleague     I have noticed that there is one product anti-AGO4 used for WB assays in abcam.Then I'd like to make sure  if this product  is useful for co-immunoprecipitation or do you have  other antibodies such as anti-AGO2 designed for co-IP assays cause I am exploriting the mRNA associated with this protein using co-IP .

      Thank you for your enquiry. To date, neither of our anti-AGO4 antibodies have been tested in IP. Both ab85077 and ab52724 have thusfar only been tested in western blotting. They may be useful for IP but we do not have any data to suggest it. I hope this is helpful. Please contact me again if you have any further questions.
