This product should be stored a +4C. Items which require this storage temperature generally have a lifespan of ~1 year. You might expect to detect a smeared band, for example the bands shown in the blot for antibody ab85827, given that there may be varying amounts of glycosylation within a single sample, but there are too many bands in your ab62551 blot to allow identification of any of them as adiponectin.

As I mentioned, a change in blocking conditions may develop the specific signal for adiponectin more than the bands that represent proteins the antibody is cross-reactiing with. Washing more thoroughly may also help, but I assume you are already washing at least three times for several minutes after incubation of the blot with ab62551.

However, it will not be glycosylated, so it is likely to run lower on the gel than your native adiponectin, at 26 kDa.

I have just quickly checked the datahseets and the specificity of these products for you and can confirm that these slides can be used as positive control. - ab4616 for ab62551 and - ab4360 for ab16227 I would suggest following the staining procedure (provided in the legend og the IHC image) and perhaps applying signal enhancing step (Dako Envision Flex amplification or ABC system).
