I was wondering about the specificity of this antibody. Does it cross-react with either ACTN2, ACTN1, or ACTN4? How was specificity determined?

Thank you for your question regarding antibody ab113234. We have not tested ab113234 for cross reactivity with other family members experimentally. A BLAST search comparing the immunogenic peptide to the sequences below yields the following homology scores: 75% with ACTN1 83% with ACTN2 75% with ACTN4 We generally say that anything with a >85% sequence homology would be expected to cross-react, so these are pretty low. But since we haven't tested these specifically experimentally, we don't know for certain. I hope this information helps. Please do contact me if you have any additional questions.
