Rat Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha ELISA Kit (ab289902) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Rat Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha in cell culture supernatant and plasma samples. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Rat Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha with 1.571 pg/ml sensitivity. This kit is incompatible with serum and plasma (heparin) samples.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:

Chemotactic factor that attracts lymphocytes and, slightly, neutrophils, but not monocytes. Inhibits proliferation of myeloid progenitors in colony formation assays. May be involved in formation and function of the mucosal lymphoid tissues by attracting lymphocytes and dendritic cells towards epithelial cells. C-terminal processed forms have been shown to be equally chemotactically active for leukocytes. Possesses antibacterial activity E.coli ATCC 25922 and S.aureus ATCC 29213. -

Interpolated concentrations of Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha in rat spleen cell supernatants.The concentration of Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha was measured in neat rat spleen cell supernatants. The mean concentration was determined to be 105.63 pg/mL in Concanavalin A (5 mg/mL, 2 days) stimulated rat spleen supernatants and 4.92 pg/ml in unstimulated rat spleen supernatant.

Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent NS.
