Interpolated concentrations of mouse Procollagen III N-terminal propeptide in serum, plasma (citrate), plasma (EDTA), and plasma (heparin). Interpolated concentration of native Procollagen III N-terminal propeptide was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are 5% serum, 10% plasma (citrate), 5% plasma (EDTA), and 5% plasma (heparin). The interpolated dilution factor corrected values (to neat sample) are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent NS.

Quantitate Mouse Procollagen III N-terminal propeptide (PIIINP) with 11.21 pg/ml sensitivity.

Procollagen III N-terminal propeptide known as PIIINP serves as an important marker in collagen synthesis processes. PIIINP results from the cleavage of procollagen III and functions as a byproduct of the maturation of collagen molecules. It possesses a molecular weight of approximately 42 kDa. This target is initially expressed within fibroblast cells found in connective tissues and then secreted into the bloodstream.
