Interpolated concentrations of PSAP in normal human serum donors

Serum of eight individual healthy human female donors was measured in duplicate. Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean PSAP concentration was determined to be 87 ng/mL with a range of 34 – 114 ng/mL.

Interpolated concentrations of human PSAP in human serum, plasma (citrate), plasma (EDTA), and plasma (heparin)

Interpolated concentration of native PSAP was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are as follows : human serum 10%, plasma (citrate) 10%, plasma (EDTA) 20%, and plasma (heparin) 10%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values (to neat sample) are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent NS.

The interpolated dilution factor corrected values (to neat sample) are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent NS.

Human PSAP SimpleStep ELISA^® kit is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of PSAP protein in Serum, Cit Plasma, EDTA Plasma, Hep Plasma, Cell culture supernatant. Quantitate Human PSAP with 69.56 pg/ml sensitivity.

SimpleStep ELISA^® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA^® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA^® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA^® technology provides several benefits:

-Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
-High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies

Saposin-A and saposin-C stimulate the hydrolysis of glucosylceramide by beta-glucosylceramidase (EC 3.2.1.45) and galactosylceramide by beta-galactosylceramidase (EC 3.2.1.46). Saposin-C apparently acts by combining with the enzyme and acidic lipid to form an activated complex, rather than by solubilizing the substrate.. Saposin-B stimulates the hydrolysis of galacto-cerebroside sulfate by arylsulfatase A (EC 3.1.6.8), GM1 gangliosides by beta-galactosidase (EC 3.2.1.23) and globotriaosylceramide by alpha-galactosidase A (EC 3.2.1.22). Saposin-B forms a solubilizing complex with the substrates of the sphingolipid hydrolases.. Saposin-D is a specific sphingomyelin phosphodiesterase activator (EC 3.1.4.12).. Prosaposin. Behaves as a myelinotrophic and neurotrophic factor, these effects are mediated by its G-protein-coupled receptors, GPR37 and GPR37L1, undergoing ligand-mediated internalization followed by ERK phosphorylation signaling.. Saposins are specific low-molecular mass non-enzymic proteins, they participate in the lysosomal degradation of sphingolipids, which takes place by the sequential action of specific hydrolases.
