Human Prealbumin ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent is a 55-min single-wash Simplestep IgniteTM ELISA for the rapid quantification of Human Prealbumin with higher sensitivity and broader measuring range.

Serum from ten individual healthy human male donors was measured in duplicate. Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Prealbumin concentration was determined to be 594 μg/mL with a range of 303 – 1,217 μg/mL.

Interpolated concentrations of native Prealbumin in human serum and plasma samples. The concentrations of Prealbumin were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the Prealbumin standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 1 : 400,000, plasma (citrate) 1 : 400,000, plasma (heparin) 1 : 400,000, and plasma (EDTA) 1 : 400,000. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Prealbumin concentration was determined to be 273 μg/mL in serum, 220 μg/mL in plasma (citrate), 216 μg/ml in plasma (heparin), and 210 μg/ml in plasma (EDTA).

The concentrations of Prealbumin were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the Prealbumin standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : HepG2 supernatant 1 : 500, milk 1 : 5,000, and CSF 1 : 50,000. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Prealbumin concentration was determined to be 0.3 μg/mL in HepG2 supernatant, 2.7 μg/ml in milk, and 20 μg/ml in cerebrospinal fluid.

Human Prealbumin ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent (ab325455) is a rapid single-wash sandwich 55-min ELISA to measure Human Prealbumin in Serum, Citrate Plasma, EDTA Plasma, Heparin Plasma, Cell Culture Supernatant, Milk, Cerebrospinal Fluid with a sensitivity of 1.8 pg/ml.

How the assay works

Human Prealbumin ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent (ab325455) SimpleStep ELISA®  employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step during a 30 min only incubation, significantly reducing assay time.  By utilizing a chemiluminscent detection method this improves the sensitivity and dynamic range when compared to traditional colormetric ELISAs.

Human Prealbumin (ab325455) protocol summary

1. Mix : add samples / standards to the wells together with the capture and detector antibody cocktail. Incubate 30 min at room temperature

2. Wash

3. Add prepared ChemiHRP development solution - incubate for 2 min

4. Read the results on a plate reader capable of luminescence detection
