製品の詳細
Abcam's anti-Parainfluenza virus 1, 2, 3 IgA Human in vitro ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is designed for the accurate qualitative measurement of IgA class antibodies against Parainfluenza virus 1, 2, 3 in Human serum and plasma.
A 96-well plate has been precoated with Parainfluenza virus 1, 2, 3 antigens to bind cognate antibodies. Controls or test samples are added to the wells and incubated. Following washing, a horseradish peroxidase (HRP) labelled anti-Human IgA conjugate is added to the wells, which binds to the immobilized Parainfluenza virus 1, 2, 3-specific antibodies. TMB is then catalyzed by the HRP to produce a blue color product that changes to yellow after adding an acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration is directly proportional to the amount of Parainfluenza virus 1, 2, 3 IgA sample captured in plate.

Biological function summary
The immune response involving secretory IgA is essential for neutralizing pathogens in the mucosal surfaces. IgA acts independently or as part of the immunoglobulin complex to protect epithelial cells from viral infections. By binding to Parainfluenza Virus antigens IgA prevents the spread of infection and contributes to immune homeostasis in the mucosal linings. This function helps to maintain a balance in immune signaling and cellular activation ensuring the proper function of the mucosal barriers.
Pathways
IgA secretion impacts both mucosal immunity and inflammation regulation. It participates in the mucosal immune pathway influencing processes such as antigen presentation and lymphocyte activation. IgA works in conjunction with other immune proteins like IgG and components of the complement pathway. These interactions not only reinforce mucosal immunity but also modulate systemic immune responses reflecting IgA's involvement in broader immune regulation.
