I can confirm that the kit should contain 8 ul of HRP-Streptavidin Concentrate (Item G). Please tell your customer to spin down the vial. The kit was ordered in November 2011 and we did change the amount of HRP-Streptavidin Concentrate (Item G) to 200ul in March 2012.

The protocol booklet that your customer received with this kit will detail that HRP-Streptavidin Concentrate (Item G) is 8ul.

I would also like to mention that the Abpromise guarantee period for our products is 6 month and therefore we suggest to check the products shortly after they delivered to avoid disappointment.

The capture antibody in this kit is supplied by an outside lab and unfortunately they were not willing to provide me with any other details about it. They did want to know if you were interested in it to follow up on some data from the ELISA assay? Perhaps they would be willing to offer it for sale, but I'm not sure if that's what you wanted.

Unfortunately there is no cross reactivity data available testing the Human CEA ELISA Kit ab99992 with mouse. If it helps though, the capture antibody is a mouse monoclonal and reacts with the protein determinant belonging to the “gold” epitope group 4. The detection antibody is a mouse monoclonal antibody reacting to the “gold” epitope group 5.

At the moment we do not sell kit components separately, this is because that we only produce enough reagents for use with the kit and do not have any spare to sell separately. We may in future add the antibody in its own right but for now it can only be purchased as part of a kit.
