Interpolated concentration of native ALK-1 was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are as follows : EA.hy926 cell extract 75 µg/mL and human lung tissue extract 125 µg/mL. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in 1X Cell Extraction Buffer SSW.

Human ALK-1 (ACVRL1) ELISA Kit (ab325255) is a rapid single-wash sandwich 90-min ELISA to measure Human ALK-1 (ACVRL1) in Cell Extract, Tissue Extract. This SimpleStep sensitivity is 9.65 pg/ml.

How the assay works

Human ALK-1 (ACVRL1) ELISA Kit (ab325255) SimpleStep ELISA® employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Human ALK-1 (ACVRL1) (ab325255) protocol summary

1. Mix : add samples / standards to the wells together with the capture and detector antibody cocktail. Incubate 1 hr at room temperature
2. Wash
3. Add TMB development solution - incubate for 10 min
4. Add Stop solution
5. Read the results on a plate reader at 450 nm

Type I receptor for TGF-beta family ligands BMP9/GDF2 and BMP10 and important regulator of normal blood vessel development. On ligand binding, forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. May bind activin as well.
