L-Arginine Assay Kit (ab241028) provides a quick, specific, and easy method for the measurement of total L-arginine concentrations in a wide variety of samples. In this enzyme-based assay, L-arginine is converted into a series of intermediates, which will further react with a probe producing a stable colorimetric signal (OD: 450 nm).

The kit is simple to use, sensitive and high-throughput adaptable and can detect as low as 1 nmol/well of L-arginine in biological samples.

Arginine assay protocol summary
- add samples and standards to wells- add enzyme mix and background mix, and incubate for 30-min at 37°C- add reaction mix, and incubate for 60-min at 37°C- analyse with plate reader

This product was previously called K749 Biovision L-Arginine Assay Kit (Colorimetric). Biovision was acquired by Abcam in 2021.
