As a result, Anti-poliovirus Abs(ab22450) binded to Adenovirus infected cells It seems like that this is cross-reactivity of poliovirus Abs to Adenovirus.

I have received feedback from the source of this antibody, saying it would be very surprising if this antibody reacts with Adenovirus because this is not closely related to Poliovirus. Also the immunogen used was human polio vaccine, so there would have been no Adenovirus present. I have a couple of questions for your customer which I hope will help us to isolate where the high background is coming from. Do they see a high background in their control cells? Also do they still see this background when the primary antibody is not present? I look forward to hearing from you. I will be happy to continue troubleshooting to find a helpful solution for your customer.
