The IL-1 system includes two agonists (IL-1 alpha and IL-1 alpha), converting enzymes, antagonists, two receptors (IL-1 RI and IL-1 RII) and the IL-1 receptor accessory protein. Interleukin-1 signal is transduced through the type I receptor.
Western blots, as well as inhibition in biological assays, in vitro as well as in vivo (although for in vitro use the monoclonal antibody ab8154 is receommended).
Previously labelled as IL1 Receptor I.
