Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab95417 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Blocking - Blocking peptide for Anti-NSMase2 antibody (ab85017)
精製度70 - 90% by HPLC.
- First try to dissolve a small amount of peptide in either water or buffer. The more charged residues on a peptide, the more soluble it is in aqueous solutions.
- If the peptide doesn’t dissolve try an organic solvent e.g. DMSO, then dilute using water or buffer.
- Consider that any solvent used must be compatible with your assay. If a peptide does not dissolve and you need to recover it, lyophilise to remove the solvent.
- Gentle warming and sonication can effectively aid peptide solubilisation. If the solution is cloudy or has gelled the peptide may be in suspension rather than solubilised.
- Peptides containing cysteine are easily oxidised, so should be prepared in solution just prior to use.

- Confluent 3Y1 cell-associated protein 1
- Neutral sphingomyelinase 2
機能Catalyzes the hydrolysis of sphingomyelin to form ceramide and phosphocholine. Ceramide mediates numerous cellular functions, such as apoptosis and growth arrest, and is capable of regulating these 2 cellular events independently. Also hydrolyzes sphingosylphosphocholine. Regulates the cell cycle by acting as a growth suppressor in confluent cells. Probably acts as a regulator of postnatal development and participates in bone and dentin mineralization.
組織特異性Predominantly expressed in brain.
配列類似性Belongs to the neutral sphingomyelinase family.
発生段階Up-regulated during G0/G1 phases.
細胞内局在Golgi apparatus membrane. Cell membrane. May localize to detergent-resistant subdomains of Golgi membranes of hypothalamic neurosecretory neurons. According to PubMed:15051724, it localizes to plasma membrane in confluent contact-inhibited cells.
