This is an approximate working dilution for use in a sandwich ELISA. This dilution will give an absorbance of >1.0 for a 10 ng standard after a 5 minute incubation.
WB: 1/1000. Predicted molecular weight: 28 kDa.

Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

    The IgG-conjugate complex is stabilized with Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA), to prevent denaturization during lyophilization. The BSA and horseradish peroxidase enzyme will give an elevated total protein concentration. The conjugate is tested using a standard sandwich ELISA (anti-TSST-1
    IgG , TSST-1, IgG-conjugate and substrate).

    The conjugate was tested using TSST-1 serially diluted from 10ng down to 0.31ng. The absorbance of the 1.25ng TSST-1 standard must be greater than 0.200 when read at 405nM after a 15 minute incubation (when the conjugate is diluted 1:300).

    Hi

    I wondered if you could help me with a technical issue. In May I purchased the anti-TSST-1 (HRP) antibody (Cat. No. ab15934) from your company and had a question about the storage and expiry date of the antibody.

    Unfortunately the antibody has been kept at 4C for approximately 2 months, and I have only just realised the antibody must be frozen for long term storage. Can you tell me if storage at this temperature will have inactivated the antibody and if the antibody will have expired? Will the antibody be fit for use?

    Any help you could provide will be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you for contacting us and your interest in our products.

    With the anti-Staphylococcus TSST1 antibody (HRP) (ab15934) we would advise storing the antibody short term as +4°C (1-2 weeks) and for longer term, aliquotted at -20°C or -80°C. We have not performed further stability tests with this particular antibody, I cannot therefore say whether the antibody is likely to have maintained its activity when stored at 4°C for2 months. I would advise trying the antibody in your tests to see how it performs. We often find that antibodies are stable at if stored at 4°C for up to a year but as I have mentioned, I would not be able to guarantee this.

    I apologize for misinterpretation of conc. I have received an updated reply from lab.

    The 250ul volume you received should have the conc. of 1.5 mg/ml. (the 0.75 mg product was dissolved in 500 ul of deonized water before shipping)
