This antibody gives very similar results to ab2893 on rat testis, under the same conditions.
The basal cells, showing diffuse nucler positivity, will be undergoing mitotic division whereas the cells above this layer (showing a discrete eccentric nuclear positive dot) will be undergoing meiotic division.
In some tubules, the nuclei of the mature sperm cells are positive.
