    • 機能

      Non-receptor protein-tyrosine kinase implicated in signaling pathways involved in cell motility, proliferation and apoptosis. Activated by tyrosine-phosphorylation in response to either integrin clustering induced by cell adhesion or antibody cross-linking, or via G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) occupancy by ligands such as bombesin or lysophosphatidic acid, or via LDL receptor occupancy. Microtubule-induced dephosphorylation at Tyr-397 is crucial for the induction of focal adhesion disassembly. Plays a potential role in oncogenic transformations resulting in increased kinase activity.

      Thank you for your telephone enquiry yesterday afternoon.

      As discussed on the telephone, I am sorry to confirm that as far as we are aware, ab24781 has never been tested in IHC-P. All tested applications covered by the 6 month guaranteeare specified on our datasheets, and these are updated as soon as any new information is brought to our attention.

      With regards to a positive control for this applciation, the following page from the SwisProt./Uniprot protein database site indicates that FAK (phospho Y397) is quite ubiquitous:
      http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q05397

      Our other antibody to FAK specific for the phospho Y397 residue has been used succesfully in brain tissue.

      I can recommend a literature search to obtain further details.
